All-

I wanted to provide this for your reference.  Two commonly referenced items are 1) the Standard Number of Competitors per section, and 2) At-Large standards for entry for competitors beyond this number.  These two factors determine he final number of competitors that each section sends to the state meet in each event.

For example, the Southern Section is allowed 6 competitors per event, and the At-Large standard for the 100 meters is 10.65.  So the Southern Section will send 6 entrants from their Qualifying meet (Southern Section Masters) plus any additional competitors that meet the standard of 10.65 in that qualifying meet (beating the standard earlier in the season does not help).

The 2013 CIF Track and Field Handbook is attached and I have pasted the number of competitors and At-Large standards below.

the North Coast Section has to go back having 4 allowed entries due to there dominance in many events such as the 400, long and triple jumps and the hurdles.
The OAL and San Francisco sections must go back to the old format where they competed against each other. Check the times and with a -2.7 headwind in the 100 and 200! If someone knows why this changed please let me know. Or make it easier by placing both of them in the NCS and adding the NCS 2 entries which would make it 5. please someone comment....
